HOW WE WORK
The method behind our digital marketing team
Hiring an agency really means hiring a team. Here we explain how ours is organised, how it communicates with clients and what you should ask before choosing any external team.
1. Specialists by area, one lead per client
Each project has an account lead who knows the business, sets priorities and is your point of contact. Behind them work the specialists for each area: strategy, SEO and GEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads, web development, content, email and data.
This avoids two typical problems: talking to five different people about the same issue, or having a generalist doing everything without technical depth.
2. External agency or in-house team?
Building an in-house digital marketing team with the same skills means several salaries, ongoing training and paid tools. For most SMEs, that only pays off above a considerable size.
- Cost: a monthly agency plan usually costs less than one full-time salary, with several specialities included.
- Start: an external team starts in weeks, with no recruitment process.
- Continuity: holidays, sick leave or resignations do not stop the work.
- Hybrid model: if you already have someone in-house, we work together and take on only the technical part.
3. Clear processes and direct communication
We use project management tools shared with the client, so you can see what is being done, by whom and by when. Meetings are held by video call, with an agenda and a written summary of the decisions.
Reports show business results (leads, sales, revenue) and not just vanity metrics. If something is not working, we say so, explain why and propose the change.
4. Languages and European markets
We are a fully digital agency, headquartered in Ponte da Barca, Portugal, with professionals in several countries. This lets us bring together the right skills for each project and support clients across time zones and languages.
The team works mainly in Portuguese and English. For internationalisation we provide support in German, French, Spanish and other markets on request, to create campaigns, content and SEO without relying on machine translation, respecting how each country searches and buys.
For clients outside Portugal, invoicing is intra-community with a VAT number, and support follows the client time zone.

5. Certifications and ongoing training
Every member keeps their certifications up to date on the platforms they use, such as the official Google Skillshop and HubSpot programmes, so we always apply current best practice.
Digital marketing changes every month: Google algorithm updates, new AI-driven campaigns, privacy changes and new ways of searching such as ChatGPT and AI Overviews. Our team sets aside fixed time for training and testing.
- Google: Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Developer profile.
- HubSpot: inbound marketing, email and CRM.
- Platforms: WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Klaviyo and Looker Studio.
6. What to ask before choosing a team
Before signing with any agency, ask for concrete answers to these questions: who will work on my account, will the ad and analytics accounts be in my name, how will results be measured, how often will I get reports and what happens if I want to end the contract.
At onOrbit Marketing, accounts always stay in the client name, reports are monthly and there are no hidden lock-in periods.
7. Tools the team uses every day
A digital marketing team is only as good as the information it works with. We use professional tools in every area, and licence costs are included in our plans.
- Search and SEO: Google Search Console, keyword research and technical audit tools, and monitoring of AI answers.
- Ads: Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Merchant Center and budget control scripts.
- Data: GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio and Power BI.
- Management: shared project tools, video calls and cloud documentation.
8. How we ensure the quality of our work
No important change goes live without a review by a second person: new campaigns, budget changes, technical changes to the website or published content. We use our own checklists for each type of task.
Every month we review each client results internally, compare them with the goals and decide as a team what to adjust. This routine keeps quality consistent over time, not just at the start of the project.
9. Working with us from another country
Many of our clients are not near our headquarters. The team supports projects in several European countries with video meetings, reports in the client language and campaigns built for each market.
If your company sells to several countries, we can run the strategy centrally and adapt ads, SEO and content to each language, without hiring a different agency in each market.
Clients who trust our team
We work with businesses from different sectors, from online stores such as Pools and More to production companies such as Polpa Productions and health projects such as Terapeutas no Digital. In all of them the common ground is the same: clear goals, close execution and measured results.
