HOW TO PREPARE
Your free consultation, step by step
Thirty minutes go by quickly. This guide explains how the session runs, what we review, what to have ready and what you get at the end, so the conversation is as useful as possible.
1. Who the free consultation is for
The session is designed for business owners, sales directors and marketing managers at SMEs and online stores in Portugal and across Europe. It works especially well in three situations:
- You invest in marketing but see no return: ads, social media or SEO without clear results.
- You are launching or rebuilding your website or online store: you want to decide well before investing.
- You want to grow into new markets: you need to know which channels work in each country.
2. What we review before and during the session
Before the call, we run a quick review of your website: mobile speed, structure of the main pages, presence on Google and basic SEO signals. During the session, we add the context only you know: margins, seasonality, competitors and goals.
Putting both parts together, we can identify the main bottleneck: lack of traffic, traffic that does not convert, no repeat purchases or no data to make decisions.
3. What to prepare
You do not need to prepare slides. Just have your goals in mind and, if possible, a few numbers. The more you share, the more concrete the recommendations will be.
- Your main goal for the next 6 to 12 months.
- Approximate monthly visits, leads or sales.
- Current spend on ads and other marketing services.
- Two or three competitors you follow closely.
4. How the video call works
After filling in the form, you receive a confirmation with a Google Meet or Zoom link. If you prefer, the free consultation can be held by phone. The session follows a simple structure: 10 minutes to understand the business, 10 minutes to review the diagnosis and 10 minutes for recommendations and questions.
If you need to change the date, just let us know 24 hours in advance and we will book another slot.

5. What you get at the end
At the end of the session you leave with three concrete priorities, ranked by impact and effort. For example: fixing conversion tracking, improving the speed of product pages and restructuring Google Ads campaigns by margin.
If you want to move forward with us, we then prepare a written proposal with goals, timelines and fees. There is no obligation to hire us.
6. Free consultation or 360° Consulting?
The free consultation is the first step: a short conversation to identify priorities. 360° Consulting is a complete, paid diagnosis of five areas (strategy, website, traffic, content and data), with competitor analysis, personas and a 90-day action plan.
Many clients start with the free session and then decide whether they need the full diagnosis, a specific service such as SEO or Google Ads, or one of our e-commerce solutions programmes.
7. Examples of recommendations we give in the session
Every business is different, but some recommendations come up often in a free consultation. These are real examples of the kind of priority that comes out of the call:
- Tracking: Google Ads conversions count thank-you page visits instead of real sales, so bidding optimises for the wrong goal.
- SEO: category pages have no original copy and compete with each other for the same searches.
- Conversion: shipping costs only appear at the last checkout step and drive abandonment up.
- Retention: there is no email automation after the first purchase.
8. Common mistakes we find
Many companies invest in marketing without knowing which channel brings customers. The most frequent mistake is measuring only clicks and followers, not leads, sales and margin. The second is spreading the budget across too many channels at once, without giving any of them the time and investment it needs.
We also often see websites that are slow on mobile, forms that are too long and ads that lead to the home page instead of the product or service being advertised.
9. Free consultation for online stores
If you run an online store, the session focuses on the sales funnel: where visits come from, where they drop off, what each sale costs and how many customers buy again. We also review the Merchant Center feed, Shopping campaigns and abandoned-cart automations.
10. Free consultation for service businesses
For service and B2B companies, the focus is on generating qualified leads: service pages, local SEO, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, forms and sales follow-up after the first contact. The goal is to understand what a new client costs today and how to lower that cost.
11. What happens to the data you share
The numbers and access you share for the session are used only to prepare the recommendations. You can remove read-only access at any time, and nothing is shared with third parties.
Why we offer a free consultation
We would rather start a relationship by showing how we think than by sending a generic presentation. The session lets you assess our team before any commitment, and lets us check whether we can really deliver results in your case.
It is the same approach we apply to every onOrbit Marketing project: clear goals, transparency and data-driven decisions. Meet the team you will be talking to.
